白剛玉是以優(yōu)質(zhì)鋁氧化粉為原料，經(jīng)電熔提煉結(jié)晶而成， 純度高、自銳性好、耐酸堿腐蝕、耐高溫、熱態(tài)性能穩(wěn)定它硬度略高于棕剛玉，韌性稍低，純度高、自銳性好、磨削能力強、發(fā)熱量小、效率高、耐酸堿腐蝕、耐高溫熱穩(wěn)定性好。用其制成磨具，適用于磨削高碳鋼、高速鋼及不銹鋼等細粒度磨料還可以用于精密鑄造和耐火材料。

棕剛玉是以鋁礬土、為主要原料，在2000度以上電弧爐內(nèi)經(jīng)高溫冶煉而成，用它制成的磨具，適于磨削抗張較高（鋼材、可鍛鑄鐵、應青銅等）的金屬，適用于制造陶瓷、樹脂高固結(jié)磨具以及研磨、拋光、噴砂、精密鑄造等，也可制造耐火材料。棕剛玉具有純度高，結(jié)晶好，流動性強，線膨脹系數(shù)低，耐腐蝕、耐高溫、高強度等特點。

Abrasives tools made by brown fused alumina are suitable for metal with high tensile(like: steel, malleable iron, bronze etc). Suitable for product high consolidation abrasive, and suitable for grinding, polishing, blasting, precision casting etc. brown fused alumina is also used for refractory material.
